27 February 2017

There are just two weeks to go before the opening of the Special Olympics World Winter Games, and the excitement is at its peak for the 11 Quebec athletes who will be participating in this major event.

From March 14th to March 25th, some 3,000 athletes living with an intellectual disability from 110 countries will gather in Austria, for a week of competition in 9 sports.

Eleven Quebecers will be among the Canadian delegation, composed of 110 athletes, who will compete in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, floor hockey, speed skating and snowshoeing.

The entire Quebec movement is extremely proud to see these athletes participate in this international competition and wishes them the best of luck. This achievement is a testament to their passion, determination and discipline.
