A fabulous gathering under the banner of social inclusion

A major event will take place on Thursday May 2, 2013, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Almost 600 guests are expected at the Special Olympics Festival, an annual fundraising event which brings together members of Montreal’s business community and professional and amateur sports celebrities. The goal of this fundraiser is to support the athletic development and social inclusion of some 5,400 athletes living with an intellectual disability (ID) in Québec.

Annie Pelletier, honorary patron of Special Olympics athletes since the Festival’s inception, will also attend this event along with Québec athletes who competed in the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea.

A silent auction will be held during the dinner and show. The evening will end in spectacular manner with a live auction featuring about 10 amazing lots including two new exclusive offerings: a unique opportunity to experience the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, and a box for the epic fight between Pascal and Bute on May 25th 2013 at the Bell Centre.

The Special Olympics Festival is Special Olympics Québec’s main fund-raising event. Since its inception in 1998, it has raised more than half a million dollars net each and every year.

The success of the Special Olympics Festival is possible thanks to the generosity of several corporate partners such as Bell, FGL Sports, Hydro-Québec, the Club de hockey Canadien and the SAQ.
