THE 767 CHALLENGE RAISES $45 681.  FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS QUÉBEC

Organized by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) in collaboration with Aéroports de Montréal (ADM), Air Canada and the City of Dorval, the plane pull contest brought together over 400 participants grouped in 27 teams of 15 participants. More than 1000 people showed up to encourage the participants who took part in the challenge for the benefit of Special Olympics Québec athletes living with an intellectual disability.

Gilbert Delorme and Chris Nilan from the Montreal Canadiens Alumni’s have also take up the challenge for the greatest pleasure of the participants. Annie Pelletier, honorary patron of Special Olympics Québec athletesalso came to encourage the participants.

The contest which consisted in using only brute human strength to pull an airliner over a distance of 3.7 metres in the fastest time ended with three of the participating teams taking home trophies.

2. Enterprise Holdings : 7,60 seconds

3. Association des directeurs de police du Québec : 8,59 seconds

2.  SPVM - Poste de quartier no 5 Pointe Claire : 1051.9 pounds

3.  SPVM - Poste de quartier no 39 – Montréal-Nord : 1065.5 pounds
