40^th anniversary

Special Olympics Québec is celebrating its 40^th anniversary!

Our 40th anniversary is an opportunity to take stock, reflect and look back on all the challenges we’ve overcome. Such a milestone is an excellent time to reflect on the future of our organization and its ambitions, prospects, and possibilities.

An anniversary is also a great opportunity to thank employees, volunteers, donors, and partners for their commitment.

The pandemic we’ve had to face through since March 2020 has disrupted our lives and caused many inconveniences. However, it’s made it possible for us at Special Olympics Québec to consider things differently and rethink our offering and services. For instance, the Healthy Communities program has experienced tremendous growth thanks to a never-before-used virtual offering. Athletes learned to train differently; and some of them even donned a chef’s hat and created recipes, which they then shared online.

In its 40th anniversary year, Special Olympics Québec is focused on the future, most importantly for our athletes but also for our volunteers and partners. We are convinced that an inclusive society is a healthy society.

Throughout this 40th anniversary year, Special Olympics Québec will be marking this milestone in many ways.
